The Kaitoke Regional Park, located 17km north of Upper Hutt City, covers 2860 hectares in the foothills of the Tararua Ranges. It features steep bush-clad hills, the Hutt River gorge, and centuries-old native forests.
The park is popular with visitors and locals, due to its tranquil river pools, bush-clad tracks, pristine lowland rain forest, landscaped picnic and camping areas.
