A UNESCO City of Film, Wellington's award-winning crews, facilities, talent and vanguard technology has enabled the creation of film and television projects such as The Hobbit, Emperor, Reservoir Hill, The Adventures of Tintin, Avatar, Man of Steel, The Tribe, William Shatner’s A Twist in the Tale, The Lovely Bones, Girl vs. Boy, Wolverine, District 9, King Kong, The Chronicles of Narnia and The Lord of the Rings trilogy among many, many others.

And with the screen sector proudly supported by the Screen Wellington one-stop shop office and our film-friendly councils and residents, filming is arguably easier here than almost anywhere else in the world.
